What to expect

Every session is confidential and conducted by Lauren and/or a staff attorney — not a paralegal or intake coordinator. Everything discussed is protected by attorney-client privilege from the moment the conversation begins, whether or not you choose to retain us.

Come prepared to discuss the facts of your situation openly. We will assess the charge and exposure, identify the strongest available defenses, and give you an honest picture of realistic outcomes. No sugarcoating — and no pressure.

You do not need to know whether your case is “serious enough” to call. Every charge is serious enough. These sessions exist so you can take the first step with clarity instead of fear.

Phone or secure video — your choice

There is no requirement to come to the office. Sessions are available by phone or encrypted video conference, whichever works for your situation.

Phone session — speak directly with Lauren and/or a staff attorney from wherever you are. Fully confidential. Available days, evenings, and weekends for urgent matters.

Secure video conference — meet face-to-face via encrypted, secure video. Ideal for clients outside the Twin Cities metro or those who prefer a remote session.

For same-day arrests, imminent court dates, or board complaint deadlines — call directly at (612) 500-7777. Do not wait for morning if you need counsel tonight.
